Carved wooden pooja mandir with drawers in a Ranchi home

Made for your home, not a shop shelf

Ready-made mandirs come in a few fixed sizes, so they rarely fit the wall, the corner or the idols you already have. We measure the space, ask which idols and photos will sit inside and how you do your puja, and build the mandir around that – the right height for the family, enough depth for diyas, and storage where you need it.

You see the design and approve the wood and finish before we start, and we can send you photos from the workshop while it is being made.

Mandir designs we make

Wall-mounted mandir

Saves floor space – ideal for flats. Shelf for diyas and a drawer below.

Floor-standing mandir

A full mandir with a cabinet base for samagri, books and puja items.

Corner mandir

Built to fit a corner exactly, using space that is otherwise wasted.

Mandir with doors

Jaali or panel doors to close the mandir when not in use.

Carved and dome tops

Traditional carving, domes and bell hooks in teak or sheesham.

Complete pooja room

Wall panelling, mandir, storage and lighting for a whole pooja room. Home interiors

Wood and finish

  • Teak (sagwan): the traditional choice for mandirs – rich colour, takes carving well and resists moisture and termites.
  • Sheesham: strong, with a beautiful grain; a popular choice for carved mandirs.
  • Plywood with wood veneer: a real-wood look at a lower cost, good for large wall units and pooja rooms.
  • Finish: natural polish that shows the grain, or a PU finish that is easier to clean around diyas and agarbatti.

Placement and vastu

Many families prefer the mandir in the north-east of the home, facing east or west. Tell us what you follow and we plan the size and position around it – including the height, so the idols sit at a comfortable level when you sit or stand for puja.

Questions people ask

It depends on the design and how busy the workshop is. Call or WhatsApp us with the size and a photo of the design you like – we tell you straight away whether it can be ready before Diwali.

Yes. Send the photo and your wall or corner size on WhatsApp. We make it to your size and suggest changes if any part needs to be stronger or simpler to make.

Teak is the traditional choice because it is durable and resists moisture and termites. Sheesham is also excellent for carved mandirs. For large wall units, plywood with wood veneer gives the same look at a lower cost.

It depends on the size, the wood and how much carving you want. Send a photo and the size on WhatsApp and we send an estimate, usually the same day.

Yes. Our team delivers and fits it, including wall mounting and any lighting points you need.
